The Midlands Hindu Society (MHS) has launched a drive to raise disaster relief aid for the victims of last week’s deadly floods in KwaZulu-Natal that claimed the lives of 71 people and left a further 1000 people homeless.
The organisation is calling on individuals and other organisations to donate canned food and hygiene products which can be dropped off at the Raisethorpe Arya Samaj Hall this Wednesday, May 1, between 8am and 12pm.
“The Midlands Hindu Society seeks to provide some hope in this time of immense need, hence we are calling upon all our people to join us in supporting this initiative in a combined effort to bring relief to the victims of the floods. This is the time to get together in the spirit of brotherhood and lend your support,” said the President of MHS, Advocate Ranjiv Nirghin.
