It’s GANDHI PEACE WALK time once more, Sun 7 Oct 2018 and this year commences with an overture, preceding the arrival of “Walkers for PEACE” during this annual event, befitting this leader of nations who chose PEACE and changed the world.
If you, too, Choose PEACE, and your answer is YES, the PMB Gandhi Memorial Committee extends a personal invitation to you and you and you – Families, Friends, Service Clubs, Running Clubs, Places of Worship, School friends, Musicians (Solo or not), Businesses, Ladies Clubs, Entertainers, in fact, anyone who is in the PEACE BUSINESS, you are invited, young and old, to join hands, stand together and send a message to the world. “I Choose PEACE”. We encourage the Community to get involved in such celebration to preserve our history by honouring legendary leaders who advocated peaceful resistance to fast track liberation, in particular our own Madiba and Gandhi.
We are most delighted to invite you and the #worqtogether TEAM to join us, both as a sponsor of PEACE Festival and participant in Gandhi Peace Walk 2018 in the City of Choice. Sunday 7 Oct 2018. The walk will take place at the Project Gateway via City Hall and ending at Pietermaritzburg Station.
As we are now on deadline, may we request a very urgent response to this invitation. Our proposal is that any/all organizations in Pietermaritzburg, move, en-masse to PROJECT GATEWAY on Sun 7 Oct 2018 (ETA 11:30am), the starting point of the GANDHI PEACE WALK 2018.
GANDHI PEACE WALK, organized by Gandhi Memorial Committee PMB, started six years ago in 2013, now has an overture, the “I Choose PEACE” – Body-Mind-Spirit PEACE FESTIVAL.

- 125 years since Gandhi was thrown off the train at Pietermaritzburg Station: Wed 7 June 1893
- Madiba’s CENTENARY Celebrations 2018: Thurs 18 July 1918

Time: 8 am – 4 pm plus Gandhi PEACE WALK
– a full day programme, with exhibitors, food stalls, entertainment and presentations staged at Pietermaritzburg Railway Station, location of Gandhi’s first encounter with the City of Choice.
