Introduction:

Midlands Hindu Society was founded in 1995 after the World Hindu Conference with the intention of working towards Unity in Diversity within the Hindu Community and Nationally as South Africans.

Aims:

Midlands Hindu Society aims to foster friendliness, unity and brotherhood amongst the Hindu Community, to propagate, promote and preserve the Hindu religion, language and culture, to organise and co-ordinate all Hindus irrespective of their creed or faith.

Objectives:

Midlands Hindu Society’s objectives are to hold functions and celebrate festivals; to co-operate with all Hindu organisations for carrying out any objects which shall have mutual; advantage; to encourage organisations to form youth committees; to organise general conventions, conferences, seminars, workshops, competitions, entertainment and lectures on religion, language and culture; to further the course of Hinduism in South Africa.
